Let me introduce myself ...

As a proud alumna of Revere Local Schools (Class of '89!), I am excited to run for a seat on the Board of Education. I am passionate about helping people grow and develop to achieve their own visions of success. I believe that success looks different for everyone and that raising our children to be successful in today's world can be overwhelming for parents—especially during the school years. I want to increase family engagement so that we, as a community, walk alongside families, providing them with the tools to guide their children toward the future they envision.

Growing up attending Revere schools taught me the value of a strong education. Now, as a parent of three in the district, I’m committed to helping every student succeed. I’ve seen how supportive and empowering environments benefit both students and educators. To maintain Revere's recognized high-quality education, our teachers need support, and I’m dedicated to fostering a culture where they can thrive and inspire meaningful learning for all students.

My connection to this community runs deep—my father still lives in the house where I was raised; my children are the fifth generation to enjoy my mom’s family home. I know each of the communities that make up our district, and I know how strong communities build strong schools and vice versa.

If elected to the Revere Local Schools Board of Education, I will advocate for policies that prioritize excellence in education, champion the needs of our students and families, and ensure transparency and collaboration between the district and the community. I look forward to serving and making a positive impact on the lives of our students.

Why am I running for a seat on the Revere Board of Education?

I am passionate about equipping our children with the skills they need to find success after Revere.

One key to that success is providing every Revere student an environment conducive to their individual way of learning and doing everything we can to meet each child’s unique needs.

I want to support all parents as they navigate the district and discover how to help their children get the most out of their Revere education.

My parents still live in the district on a fixed income, so I’m dedicated to fiscal responsibility. I pledge to safeguard everyone’s tax dollars.

We have a lot to be proud of in our schools and communities. I want to continue our district's legacy of excellence.

What of my experience makes me a qualified candidate for the board?

During COVID, I wanted to better understand how my children’s education would be impacted. I started attending Revere Board of Education meetings in August 2020, and I have only missed a handful of meetings since.

I have studied how meetings are run and the dynamics of the district. I have gotten to know the board members and administrators, I have asked questions, and I have provided input, both solicited and unsolicited.

In 2023, the Revere Board of Education appointed me to the Cuyahoga Valley Career Center Board of Education, to represent our district alongside the other seven member districts. In 2024, I served as chair of the Policy Committee, and this year, I was elected vice-president of the CVCC board.

I volunteered for the schools through my participation with the Richfield and Bath PTAs and BREATHE (Building Resilience through Education Awareness Tools and Health Empowerment). I am currently a member of the Revere Schools Foundation board. My motivation to work with those organizations has focused on providing wellness education and support to both students and staff.

My day job is as Director of Insurance Product for Simply Business, which is a direct-to-consumer digital insurance agency. I have more than 30 years of experience in the insurance industry, primarily focused on product development, policy construction and compliance.
